Mr. Etuhoko is an independent board director, executive coach, strategic advisor, and globally experienced well engineering leader with more than 35 years of leadership across Fortune 500 energy, natural resources, and industrial organizations. He brings a rare combination of technical depth, operational leadership, governance discipline, and executive perspective to issues where asset integrity, production continuity, and risk exposure intersect.

What distinguishes Mike is his ability to connect well integrity capability to broader business consequence. With deep experience in drilling, completions, intervention, and well integrity, supported by advanced petroleum engineering education from IFP School, he understands how hidden technical weaknesses can evolve into production loss, rising intervention cost, operational exposure, and reputational risk. This makes his perspective especially relevant for leaders responsible for mature assets, late-life operations, and high-consequence environments.

Michael has held senior operational and technical leadership roles across major international energy projects, including roles with TotalEnergies, Shell, KPO Kazakhstan, and HCML Indonesia. He now works at the intersection of leadership, strategy, governance, and capability development for executives, boards, and organizations navigating complex transformation.

As Founder and CEO of Protekz Inc., Mike advises boards, executives, and senior operational leaders on leadership, governance, sustainability, and strategic execution. He is also the 2025–26 Society of Petroleum Engineers Distinguished Lecturer, delivering a global lecture series on Transformational Leadership to Accelerate the Energy Transition. His work integrates technical leadership, governance rigor, sustainability oversight, and coaching-informed leadership to help organizations strengthen judgment, resilience, and execution under pressure.

He currently serves on the boards of the ALS Society of Canada, Alberta Dreams, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers International Sustainable Development Technical Section. A London Business School Sloan Fellow, Warwick MBA graduate with Distinction, and DBA candidate researching Generative AI and board resilience, he brings boards a rare combination of operational depth, governance rigor, sustainability insight, and leadership perspective.
